Clear Backpacks Required At This NJ School District
As an extra safety precaution, clear backpacks are being distributed free in a Central Jersey school district. "We will be implementing the mandatory use of clear backpacks starting this upcoming school year for all of our schools," South River Public Schools Superintendent Sylvia Zircher wrote in a letter to parents. A South Jersey man was caught after breaking into a local middle school on two separate occasions, authorities said. Angel Jimenez, of Trenton, is accused of illegally entering Dunn Middle School on Dayton Street and stealing an air purifier on Saturday, July 30, Trenton Police said in a release on Thursday, August 4. A high school junior from South Jersey was struck and killed by a car, the district confirmed. Aarav Shah, a rising junior at High School North in the West Windsor-Plainsboro district, was riding with a group of bicyclists out of state when he was fatally struck by a passing car, Superintendent David Aderhold said in a release on Sunday, July 17.
