Some of the nearly 200 pets rescued from nightmarish conditions at a Jersey Shore home will soon be up for adoption, officials are announcing. About 135 dogs and 45 cats were saved from the "Crazy Rescue Ladies" shelter in Brick Township after police found the animals living in stacked crates filled with their own waste early this month, as Daily Voice reported. Now, the Ocean County Health Department says some of those dogs will be available for adoption at the shelters in Jackson Township and Manahawkin. 21 Cats, Two Dogs Found Neglected In Fair Lawn Woman's Home, Authorities Say
Animal control officers removed 21 cats and two dogs who authorities said were being neglected by a Fair Lawn woman. Julie Alaimo, 37, was charged with nearly two dozen counts of animal cruelty, Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler said. Police found the animals at Alaimo’s home on 30th Street near Raphael Street following a complaint last Tuesday, Nov. 8, Metzler said. Officers with Bergen County Animal Control were summoned and borough police Lt. James Krizek investigated, the sergeant said. Alaimo must answer the summonses in court.

Warren County Man Charged After Leaving Dog In Hot Car, Police Say
A Warren County man was charged after leaving his dog in a hot car, authorities said. The man — whose name was not released — is accused of leaving his dog, “Rosco,” inside his car with no air conditioning and the windows rolled up on an 80-degree day, Washington Township Police said in a release on Tuesday, June 28. The Hardwick man was charged by a Washington Township Humane Law Enforcement Officer and is scheduled to appear in municipal court.

Newark Vet Charged With Animal Cruelty After 2 Dogs Die In His Care, Prosecutor Says
A veterinarian in Newark has been charged with animal cruelty after two dogs died in his care, authorities said. Ehren Seth Yablon, who owns the Newark Veterinary Hospital on Wilson Avenue, told one dog owner that her pet died during surgery but surgery was never performed, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N.
