Firefighters worked to knock down a massive fire that broke out at a UPS facility in Ocean County Wednesday, June 28. The blaze erupted just before 7 p.m. at the Vassar Avenue facility in Lakewood. According to CBS, at least six trailers and part of the warehouse were damaged. Police have identified the three young women killed in a violent crash on the Garden State Parkway over the weekend. Detronia Young, 26, and Janiyah Rudolph, 24, both of Asbury Park, along with Ajene Brodie, 25, of Shrewsbury, died in the Sunday, July 10 crash, according to New Jersey State Police. Pilot, Flight Instructor Unscathed In Jersey Shore Plane Crash: Report
Two people walked away unscathed after his plane crashed on the Jersey Shore Sunday, May 1, as first reported by the Lakewood Scoop. The single-engine Cessna 172 crashed at Ocean County Airport in Bayville around 6 p.m., the FAA said in a release. The aircraft had departed from Old Bridge Airport in Englishtown. A 19-year-old man from New Jersey was killed during a crime spree outside of his Yeshiva Tuesday night in Denver. Shmuel Silverberg's body has been flown to Lakewood for a funeral service.
