Driver Shoots, Kills Himself On Palisades Interstate Parkway, Sources Say

A 30-year-old man from Israel living in Brooklyn, NY shot and killed himself while driving along the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Englewood Cliffs Monday evening, March 17, Daily Voice has learned.

Sources tell Daily Voice that Yeshaya "Shuki" Roth was behind the wheel of the black Jeep Wagoneer found slammed up against the guardrail of the northbound lanes near Exit 1 in Englewood Cliffs.

Roth had been living in Flatbush with his wife and volunteered for an Orthodox Jewish civilian patrol group, sources say.

Condolences poured in on Tuesday, March 18.

Jeff Angermeyer, the Bergen County Prosecutor's deputy chief of detectives, confirmed that the agency is assisting the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department with the investigation.

Footage shared by the Monsey Scoop shows a heavily damaged Wagoneer, in the northbound lanes near Exit 1.
