Authorities charged a Paterson man with a shooting that led to a stabbing, a home invasion and a robbery just weeks apart. Angel Florian, 19, was accused of a Jan. 18 robbery on East 22nd Street in Paterson. Florian also shot at an 18-year-old city man and missed, after which another assailant stabbed the intended victim on North 4th Street the night of Feb. 6, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. He gave them the slip a month ago, but this time Paterson detectives captured a 19-year-old resident wanted for a January shooting in one of the city’s deadliest neighborhoods. Leighmeir Singletary tried to run again after investigators spotted him Tuesday night on Godwin Avenue, authorities said. A reputed Paterson gang member who fled to Georgia amid a massive federal investigation of fatal drug trafficking shot and wounded a Belleville man in the city before he left, authorities revealed Wednesday. Passaic County sheriff's detectives in an unmarked car nabbed two Paterson men with 500 heroin folds during a traffic stop, authorities said. The Fugitive Warrant Squad detectives pulled a van over for running a stop sign in the area of Straight Street and Godwin Avenue around 6 p.m. Friday, Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said. Nearly two years to the day that he survived a shooting, a Paterson man was gunned down before dawn Saturday -- the Silk City's first homicide of 2020. Police were investigating another shooting when they heard gunfire and found a 23-year-old male Paterson man who’d been struck in the area of Summer Street and Godwin Avenue.
