A 22-year-old Honduran national living in Paterson killed his cousin during a fight in a basement apartment, authorities said. Darwin Estrada-Cruz was seized after police called to the neighborhood at Straight Street and 16th Avenue found the body of Jose Estrada-Cruz, 31, shortly before 2 a.m. Monday, April 1. Paterson detectives seized a loaded handgun and an ounce of PCP from a Passaic ex-con while arresting him and two others, authorities said Friday. A gunman running from Paterson police fired a shot from an AK-47 that went into a home Tuesday night, authorities said. “Give me the car!” demanded an ex-con whom jurors this past week convicted of a Paterson carjacking. The jury in Paterson deliberated barely an hour before convicting Paul Myhand, 40, of two counts of carjacking.
