Marcus Tifa, 34, drove a 2003 Freight Liner tractor trailer with the license plates obscured onto the Fort Lee side of the bridge and through a cash toll lane without paying, Joe Pentangelo of the authority told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Tifa was being held at the authority’s Fort Lee administration building as police waited for a judge to set bail.

He is charged with theft and tampering with public records.

The truck is registered to Cargo Transfer in Englewood.
