Monmouth University pollsters have tried to answer a question that has been hard to solve for many in the Garden State: Where is Central Jersey exactly? The Monmouth University Polling Institute released a survey on Tuesday, Apr. 16 that asked New Jerseyans what region they live in and if they believe their region gets a fair share of state resources. College Student From Morris County Killed In I-295 Crash (

Authorities have identified the 20-year-old driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Mercer County. Samuel Beale, of the Kenvil section of Roxbury, was driving a Nissan SUV northbound near milepost 60.6 in Hamilton shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, April 14, when he veered off the highway to the left and struck a concrete bridge support and guardrail, New Jersey State Police said. Beale was pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said. Beale was a sophomore economics major at Rider University in Lawrenceville, according to his LinkedIn.com profile.

Missing Morris County Man Drowned In Lake: Prosecutor
A 20-year-old Morris County man missing since Wednesday, March 6 was found dead, authorities announced. Altariq Hickson was last seen at his home in Roxbury, prior to a missing persons investigation being launched six days later. A 64-year-old man died in an overnight fire in a home overlooking Lake Hopatcong, authorities said. Firefighters discovered the body of Robert Powers after a pair of borough police officers braved the flames at 303 Lakeside Avenue, which were engulfing the house when they arrived shortly before 12:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, borough police said in a statement. Four Juveniles Hospitalized In Route 80 SUV Crash: State Police
Four juveniles and an adult were hospitalized in a double SUV crash on Route 80 Wednesday, Nov. 15, state police said. A Jeep SUV and a Honda SUV were heading westbound when they collided near milepost 29 in Roxbury around 1:45 a.m., NJSP Detective I Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice. The Jeep driver and its four passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation of minor injuries, Lebron said. No other injuries were reported in the crash, which remains under investigation.

A 29-year-old South Jersey woman was seriously injured when her vehicle was struck by a box truck and overturned on Route 80 in Morris County early Saturday, April 15. Sheryl A. Morris County Man, 82, Drowns After Falling From Dock
A Morris County man drowned when he fell off a dock and into Lake Hopatcong Thursday evening, authorities said. The Roxbury man fell into the water shortly before 6 p.m. near King Road, township police said. King Road is located along the King Cove section of Lake Hopatcong. Mt. The body of a 68-year-old Morris county man was recovered from Crescent Cove in Hopatcong, hours after the boat he was operating capsized Wednesday, authorities said.
