Six Injured After School Bus Crashes Into Telephone Pole: Roselle PD Six people were injured when a J&J school bus crashed into a telephone pole in Roselle on Monday, Jan. 8, police said. At 3:10 p.m., Roselle police responded to the crash at W 7th Ave. and Washington Ave. officers said. Police believe the bus driver mistakenly pushed the gas pedal instead of the brakes, causing the bus to veer off-road and crash into the pole, officers said.  Four children and two adults suffered minor injuries and the crash caused downed wires and "significant" damage, police said. Roselle Man Busted With Illegal Handgun: Linden PD A 29-year-old Roselle man was was arrested and charged with having an illegal loaded handgun on Thursday, Oct. 12, Linden police said. At 10 p.m. officers responded to Dill Avenue and Adams Street following the activation of a gunshot detection device, police. Officers saw Wazir Davis walking from the area and attempted to stop him, but Davis ignored them and ran across the street into an apartment building.
