Undercover Bust: NJ Man Among 5 Seeking Sex With Teens In PA, DA Says
Five people seeking sex with teens have been arrested in an undercover Berks County sting, authorities said.
All five individuals responded to an ad, posted on Monday, Jan. 19 by detectives, offering sex with 14- and 15-year-old juveniles at various locations in Berks County, the county district attorney's office announced.
The individuals agreed to meet up and have sex with the "teens," but instead were met by detectives and promptly arrested, District Attorney John T. Adams said.

As part of an effort to combat vice-related crimes, eight people were arrested in Secaucus on Friday, Nov. 17 as part of a prostitution sting, authorities said.
At 6:55 p.m., police arrested Johanny Ledesma, a 45-year-old resident of the Bronx for engaging in prostitution, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Less than an hour later, Simone Deoliveiraavila, a 36-year-old Newark was arrested for engaging and promoting prostitution, Miller said.

Federal jurors in Newark convicted an Elizabeth man of luring out-of-state escorts to New Jersey for sex with false promises of paying them tens of thousands of dollars, authorities said.
Jose Torres, 45, refused to pay those who accepted the offer and often raped and beat any who pressed him for the money, according to an indictment that led to his conviction on Wednesday, Oct. 11, following a six-day trial.

A pimp and three prostitutes were busted in an undercover hotel operation in Secaucus, the town's police chief said.
