A carbon monoxide scare evacuated a Hunterdon County ShopRite Thursday morning, authorities said. Emergency crews responded to the Franklin Township store and confirmed elevated CO levels, the Quakertown Fire Company said. A Hunterdon County man who admitted having child porn images avoided jail time when a judge suspended a 180-day sentence and gave him plea-bargained probation. Man Walking On Tracks Killed By Train In High Bridge
A man walking on NJ Transit tracks in Hunterdon County was stuck by a Raritan Valley Line train early Monday morning, officials said. The non-revenue train moving westbound toward High Bridge did not have any passengers on it when it struck the man east of the Lebanon station around 5:15 a.m., NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith said. A Hunterdon County man was arrested by authorities who said he had nearly 45,000 photos and videos of child pornography.
