Four Firefighters Injured In Four-Alarm Jersey City Fire (Update) Four firefighters were injured after a four-alarm blaze broke out in a vacant building in Jersey City on Tuesday, May 30, authorities said. The fire began at 234 Montgomery St. before spreading to 236 Montgomery St., Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.  The firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries when stairs collapsed and were all taken to a local hospital, Scalcione said. The 25-year-old man got into an argument with 47-year-old Savark Dicupe at Stella’s on Grove Street over how Dicupe was treating employees around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, city police said.
