At 5:05 a.m., a Gladstone Branch train en route to Hoboken, fatally struck an adult male pedestrian, NJ Transit officials said. At 7:37 p.m., a train not in passenger service, fatally injured the pedestrian west of the South Orange station, NJ Transit said. Man Fatally Struck By Train At Short Hills Station: NJ Transit A man was struck and killed by a train at the Short Hills station on Wednesday, May 10, NJ Transit said. At 12:19 p.m., Gladstone Branch train 417 struck the man near the east end of the platform, NJ Transit said. No injuries were reported to the 20 customers and crew on board the train, NJ Transit said. NJ Transit said trains on the Morris and Essex Lines and the Gladstone Branch will be running with delays up to 45 minutes. NJ Transit Police are investigating.

Train Kills Pedestrian In Somerset County A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Somerset County, officials confirmed. The crash involving Gladstone Branch Train 440 occurred just before 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 27 in Far Hills, NJ Transit officials said. No injuries to the three customers or crew members were reported. The train was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 12:22 p.m. Gladstone Branch was temporarily suspended between Bernardsville and Gladstone but has since resumed. New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.
