Boy Seized With BB Gun At Rutherford HS Playoff Game
A 17-year-old boy who apparently thought it was a good idea to bring a BB gun to Rutherford High School's state playoff game against visiting Hanover Park was quickly taken into custody, authorities said. The Friday night lights made it easy for a concerned citizen to see the weapon, which the boy pulled from his waistband to show other fans near the end of the Nov. 3 game, Rutherford Police Chief John Russo said. A threat of a mass shooting at a middle school in New York State last week somehow made its way to Glen Rock, where authorities said a student received a disturbing message. The father of a boy being shot at by another teen hoping to settle an ongoing dispute in an after-school meetup ended up in the hospital — and the 15-year-old shooter in police custody, Linden police said. A 29-year-old New Jersey dad has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his 6-year-old son, authorities announced. Christopher Gregor's son, Corey Micciolo, died on April 2, 2021, at Southern Ocean Medical Center. A Saddle Brook juvenile was charged with carjacking his own mother, authorities said. The mom was behind the wheel of a rented Hyundai Elantra when she and her son got into an argument and he insisted he be allowed to drive, Capt. John Zotollo Jr. said. A teenager from Newark has admitted to stabbing two Rockland County men on the Jersey Shore during a fight last year, authorities said. Juwan Roman, 18, pleaded guilty on Thursday to two counts of aggravated assault and weapons offenses, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. A Franklin woman was charged with forgery, perjury and falsifying records after she submitted bogus medical invoices in a family court case, authorities said Wednesday. Lynneann K. Groves, 37, filed the documents with the Family Part of Superior Court’s Chancery Division in March, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M.
