Authorities ID Man Killed In Weekend Irvington Shooting Authorities have identified the 28-year-old victim of a weekend Irvington shooting. Ricky Alston, of Irvington, was shot on the 800 block of Stuyvesant Avenue Sunday, Nov. 22, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers said. Alston, formerly of Newark, was transported to Beth Israel Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m., they said. Maplewood Man Found Guilty Of Punching, Kicking Woman In Road-Rage Incident A Maplewood man faces up to five years in prison after he was found guilty of beating up a woman who he felt was taking too long getting out of a car, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday.  Jahmil Jasper, 39, was seen on surveillance video emerging from his gray Audi Dec. 8 and attacking the 51-year-old woman, who was recovering from recent surgery. Jaspar punched her twice in the head, dragged her into the street and punched her four more times while she was down.
