Armed Robber Busted In Newark After April Fools Pursuit: Police A 27-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged with attempting to rob two men at gunpoint in Bloomfield on Monday, April 1, police said. At 11:30 a.m., two men were picked up for work near the 100 block of Floyd Avenue by Alameen Mohammed in a silver Mercedes Benz, Bloomfield police said.  Mohammed brandished a handgun and demanded money from the men, police said. The men had no money and exited the vehicle before calling 911, police said.
