14-Year-Old Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Jersey City Teen: Prosecutors A 14-year-old boy in Jersey City was arrested and charged for his involvement in the fatal shooting of Tyshawn Smith, a 15-year-old Jersey City resident on Friday, June 9, authorities said. The teenager was charged as a juvenile with aggravated manslaughter and multiple weapons charges, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
