Timothy Tyreek Melendez, 31, was shot around 1:15 p.m. in the 200 block of North Grove Street. He was rushed to University Hospital in Newark, where he died about eight hours later.
No one has been arrested. Authorities are asking anyone with information to call the prosecutor’s Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force at 1-877-847-7432 (877-TIPS-4EC).
