An emaciated poodle clung to life Tuesday as PETA offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever threw him from a car in Paterson.
"If this little dog had been taken to an animal shelter, he would have had a chance at finding a family who would love him like he deserves,” PETA Vice President Colleen O'Brien. “But instead, he was tossed out of a car like a piece of trash.”

RIVER VALE, N.J. — Happy birthday to Bill Maher of River Vale, who turns 62 on Saturday.
He was born in New York City on Jan. 20, 1956 and was raised in River Vale, graduating from Pascack Hills High School in Montvale in 1974. He double majored in English and history at Cornell University, graduating in 1978.
