Big Lots To Shut These New Jersey Stores: Closing Sales Under Way
Big Lots! has announced the closures of even more locations since filing for bankruptcy in September. The company announced on Monday, Sept. 9 that it will sell its assets to an affiliate of private equity firm Nexus Capital Management. Shamika Bodino, a 32-year-old mom from Monmouth County, died at home on Wednesday, July 3, according to her obituary on the Clayton Funeral Home site. Shock and sadness spread following the death of Freehold resident David J. Kirby on Thursday, Feb. 15. He was 48 years old. David, affectionately known as Dave, was born in Brick Township and died at CentraState Medical Center, according to his obituary. A 29-year-old mechanic was killed over the weekend when an RV slid off jack stands and crushed him at a New Jersey garage, authorities said. The unidentified mechanic from Freehold was working at GasTime on West Commodore Boulevard in Jackson around 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, when the vehicle came off the jack stand and down on him,Jackson Police Chief Matthew Kunz said.
