Midland Park Students Make No-Sew Blankets For Project Linus MIDLAND PARK, N.J.—Midland Park Junior and Senior High School students crafted dozens of no-sew fleece blankets for Project Linus, a 20-year-old charitable organization that shares comfort items with those in need. “It’s interesting to see how they pair themselves up,” said seventh grade teacher Teresa Mallon, who has been running the event for the past four years at the school. Hundreds Unite In Harmony For Washington Township Interfaith Service WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Nearly 400 people from Jewish, Muslim and Christian communities throughout Bergen County sang, prayed and held moments of silence together at an interfaith service at Temple Beth Or in Washington Township on Sunday evening. Jack's Lobster Shack Brings Maine-Style Lobster To Edgewater EDGEWATER, N.J. -- An Armenian couple is bringing in Maine-style lobster to plates in Edgewater. The Tabibians opened Jack's Lobster Shack on on River Road in late November. "We make everything fresh and not frozen," said owner Jack Tabibian's wife, Aline Tabibian, both of Edgewater. Patrons Count Birds In Closter For Annual Audubon Society Event CLOSTER, N.J. — Closter Nature Center is inviting bird lovers to look for winter birds on Sat. Dec. 19.
