Bogota VFW's New Lights Remind Community Of Its Liberties BOGOTA, N.J — The Bogota Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) received a $2,500 grant from Home Depot for new lighting to brighten the West Shore Avenue facility on Wed. Dec. 9 Maintenance crews had installed more cost-effective lighting in all but one row — that's currently awaiting replacement — in less than three hours. Saddle River Lions Club Announce Peace Poster Contest Winners UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. — The Saddle River Valley Lions Club has announced winners in its International Peace Poster Contest. Noelle Kim, a seventh grader from Mahwah’s Ramapo Ridge Middle School, Laura Granada, a seventh grader in Upper Saddle River’s Cavallini Middle School, and Alison Perino, a sixth grader from Smith School in Ramsey were the local winners. Northvale Prepares Saint Anthony's Church Property For Senior Housing Unit NORTHVALE, N.J. — St. Anthony’s Church in Northvale is accepting application requests for the new senior housing units coming to its Walnut Street property. Photographer's Wyckoff Fundraiser Benefits Dumont Cancer Survivor WYCKOFF, N.J. — A Wyckoff photographer is using her creative business to raise funds for a Dumont family who's youngster is battling cancer. Jennifer Bladel is hosting a WinterBloom event at European Petals in Wyckoff on Dec. 11 and 12 to help Paul “Paulie” Reisinger, 5, and his family. Photos will include a lighted tree, a poinsettia, some vintage photo themes, a baby grand piano, along with a few surprises. Bladel will donate $50 from every session back to the family. Franklin Lakes Library's PAWS Therapy Pets Program Comforts Young Readers FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. — Furry friends visited the Franklin Lakes Public Library one last time this year for the close of the PAWS Therapy Pets 2015 program on Monday afternoon.
