A Middle Township man was accused of distributing child pornography on social media, authorities said. Xavier Figueroa Jr., 20, of Cape May Court House, was charged with second-degree manufacturing child pornography, second-degree distributing child pornography, and third-degree possession of child pornography. Court documents revealed disturbing details about the abuse suffered by five girls for more than five years at the hands of the three adults they had been living within Cape May. 2,800 Bags Of Heroin Seized In Cape May County Arrest: Prosecutor
A 32-year-old man from South Jersey has been arrested for selling heroin, authorities said. Jorge A. Aviles, of Rio Grande, was charged with numerous drug and weapons offenses, according to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Chief Jennifer Pooler of the Middle Township Police Department. As part of a warranted search of Aviles' home on Route 47, about 2,800 bags of heroin were seized along with $753 cash and a dagger, Sutherland said. Aviles was being held in the Cape May County Correctional Facility.

Pedestrian, 60, From Wildwood Killed In Crash
A 60-year-old pedestrian from Wildwood was killed in a crash in Cape May County, authorities said. On Wednesday, May 17, at approximately 6:40 a.m., the Middle Township Police Department responded to Fulling Mill Road (Route 654) in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Investigation revealed the pedestrian was crossing Fulling Mill Road and was struck by a motor vehicle that was traveling south, police said.
