On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Swedesboro resident Noah Hess was sentenced subject to the No Early Release Act, whereby the defendant must serve 85% of his sentence prior to becoming eligible for parole, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office. Coli Concerns Prompt Recall Of 120,000 Pounds Of NJ Company's Ground Beef: USDA Ground beef products from a New Jersey-based meat manufacturer are being recalled over possible E. coli contamination, the USDA reports.  Lakeside Refrigerated Services, which is based in Swedesboro, is recalling more than 120,000 pounds of ground beef products sold from Feb. 1 to April 8, the USDA reports.  Products, bearing the establishment number "EST. 46841," were sold across the country. Gloucester County Man, 53, Critically Hurt In Crash A Gloucester County motorist was hospitalized in critical condition after a serious crash, authorities said. A 53-year-old driver from Swedesboro was traveling west on Woodland Avenue near Valley Lane in Harrison Township just after 8 p.m. on Friday when his car ran off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole, police said.
