Update: Victim In Hackensack Barbershop Shooting Laid To Rest, Two Charged With Murder
UPDATE: On the day when loved ones laid to rest a Maywood man who was gunned down outside a Hackensack barber shop last weekend, authorities announced the arrests of his alleged killer and two accomplices.
A Catholic prayer service and burial were held on Thursday morning, Nov. 17, for Vidal Nieves, a 28-year-old single dad who worked at a dollar store in Passaic.
At the same time, charges were being brought against:
Dior Alston, a 21-year-old laborer from South Hackensack;
Malik Abel, 21, an electrician from Maywood;
Rayshawn Powel-Myhand, a 19-year-old cashier from Hackensack.

Illegal U-Turn Leads To Crystal Meth, Loaded Gun, Arrests Of Ex-Con Couple
A pair of convicted felons both wanted on warrants had crystal meth in the car and a loaded gun under the seat when a South Hackensack police officer stopped them for an illegal U-turn on Route 46, authorities said.
The warrants turned up after Officer Steven Oliver stopped a Chevy Equinox with an expired temporary license plate driven by Dale Edwards, 45, who had an active warrant out of Montana, Detective Sgt. James Donatello said.
With him was Kelly M. Wilson, 40, who was wanted out of Falls Township, PA, the sergeant said.

Authorities raided a DIY storefront pot dispensary in Bergen County that they said was operated by a local couple who sold marijuana and THC products to the general public without a license.
Jaime Costanzo, who was listed as the owner/operator, and her husband, Michael Delmoral, both 40 of Wallington, were busted after detectives posing as customers bought pot and other items at THC JARZ on River Road in Garfield, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Monday afternoon.

A man seen dumping a stolen safe into a trash bin at a Route 46 motel was caught with a trio of rifle magazines and various gun parts, South Hackensack police said.
Edward Austeri, 36, recently of Lodi, also had 200 bags of heroin in his pocket when police stopped him Tuesday at the Stage Coach Motel, Detective Sgt. James Donatello said.

It happened in a flash: A SWAT team stormed a South Hackensack motel, capturing two armed robbers and three drug dealers from Teaneck and Englewood who've been living there, authorities said.
