More than 60 people have been arrested in connection with a protest that completely shutdown I-676 in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, March 30, authorities said. The protestors were from the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and ran onto the highway at Broad Street around 4 p.m., causing disruptions to traffic flow, Philadelphia police said at the time. Atlantic City Woman Convicted Of Looting During George Floyd Riots
A 50-year-old woman from Atlantic City has been convicted of receiving stolen property during looting that took place after George Floyd was killed by police in Minnesota in 2020, authorities said. A jury found Darlene Garrison guilty of the theft charge on Thursday, March 15, but deadlocked on a charge of rioting, according to the Atlantic County Proseuctor's Office. UPDATE: A Trenton man who threw a makeshift Molotov cocktail into a city police vehicle following a protest was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison. Kadeem A. Dockery, 31, is the last of four defendants sentenced in U.S. District Court in connection with the May 31, 2020 protest in Trenton. A white supremacist group crashed a Labor Day parade in Central Jersey. More than 1,000 people are expected to march in support of Irving Mayren-Guzman, authorities said.
