Store That Sold $1.13B Mega Millions Ticket Revealed By NJ Lottery Officials
A Jersey Shore liquor store sold the winning ticket in the eighth-largest lottery drawing in U.S. history, officials said. The New Jersey Lottery said the Mega Millions ticket was purchased at ShopRite Wine & Spirits on Route 66 in Neptune Township. A Hazlet family is rallying for support after a three-year-old boy was diagnosed with brain tumors, a fundraising campaign said. Mick Augustitus has four brain tumors and several tumors on his spine, according to a GoFundMe page set up for his family. NJ Transit Train Strikes Car On Jersey Shore
A New Jersey Transit train struck a car on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. At 7:32 a.m., North Jersey Coast Line train 3224 crashed into the car at the Bethany Road crossing in Hazlet. The car's motorist was not hurt. No injuries were reported to the approximately 150 customers or the crew on board at the time. The train departed Long Branch at 7:10 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Penn Station New York at 8:41 a.m. Customers from train 3224 were being transferred to a following train. New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation.
