Carjacking, High-Speed Chase Ends In Central Jersey Crash (Developing) Suspects wanted in a carjacking and several armed robberies purportedly crashed their car during a high-speed chase, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The carjacking attempt occurred at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3 on Route 18 in East Brunswick, initial reports said.  A high-speed chase ensued along Route 27 in North Brunswick. The chase reached speeds of 80 mph, an unconfirmed report said. It was unclear if the armed robberies are the same ones that occurred earlier Thursday on the Rutgers University campus.
