81-Year-Old Driver Suffered 'Medical Emergency' Before Fatal South Jersey Crash: Police An 81-year-old driver from West Deptford suffered a "medical emergency" before a fatal crash, authorities said. Tannis Vanderwerken  crashed into a utility pole at Grove Avenue and Woodbury Terrance in West Deptford at 5:28 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, police said. Vanderwerken was taken to Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill where she was pronounced dead, police said. The Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office said that Vanderwerken died as a result of injuries suffered in the collision, police said.

Charges DIsmissed Against Woman Who Lent Unlicensed Driver Car In Fatal Crash Charges have been dismissed against a South Jersey woman accused of lending her car to an unlicensed driver who got into a fatal crash. Tisha M. Gargon’s indictment was dismissed in a pre-trial motion hearing over the objection of prosecutors, the Salem County Prosecutor's Office said. Gargon, 51, of Pittsgrove Township, had been indicted in October 2022 on charges of endangering the welfare of a child in the fatal crash,  She gave an unlicensed 16-year-old “permission to access and drive the vehicle" on May 3, 2022, according to a criminal complaint  Schalick High School studen…
