Three People Displaced, Firefighter Injured In Ocean City House Fire
Three people were without a home and a firefighter was injured after a house caught fire in Ocean City, officials said. Ocean City firefighters responded to the fire on the 1400 block of Simpson Avenue at around 4:46 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 15, the city said in a news release. Crews arrived within three minutes and found a large fire on the building's second floor. Marmora and Margate City firefighters also helped out the Ocean City Fire Department. Firefighter Injured, House Destroyed By Fire In Toms River
A firefighter was injured while battling a fire that destroyed a house in Toms River, emergency officials said. Crews responded to the fire at a home on Bergen Avenue at around 2:04 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 9, the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention said in a news release. The fire was on the second floor of the house. A firefighter suffered a minor injury when falling at the fire scene. The firefighter was brought to the hospital to be evaluated. 3 Homes Damaged, 3 Firefighters Hurt In Burlington County Blaze
Three homes were damaged and three firefighters hurt in a four-alarm fire in Burlington County, according to news reports. The fire broke out in a home on the 100 block of Cherry Street in Mount Holly at about 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13. The firefighters are expected to be OK, 6ABC News reported, citing Westampton Fire Craig Farnsworth. It took firefighters about 3 1/2 hours to bring the fire under control.

35 Tenants Displaced In Edison Apartment Fire
An apartment house fire in Edison destroyed 11 apartments, ousting at least 35 tenants from their units, authorities said. Flames were shooting through the roof of the Parsonage Road building when firefighters arrived around 4:30 p.m. Monday. Some tenants were able to return to their homes to collect some belongings -- others lost everything, Deputy Fire Chief Andrew Toth Jr. said. Burned Firefighter Hospitalized In Newark Blaze
A firefighter was hospitalized with burns while battling a nighttime Newark blaze that damaged two homes. He was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston Thursday night with wounds that weren’t considered life-threatening, fellow firefighters said. Responders found heavy flames between a pair of 2 ½-story wood-frame homes in the 200 block of North Street, one of which was vacant, shortly before 9:30p.m. The fire extended into the basement and the upper floors and cockloft of one of the homes, they said.
