: Two Suspects Wanted In Early Morning Theft In Cape May, Police Say
Cape May police were looking for two suspects in an early morning theft, authorities said. The Cape May Police Department posted surveillance video and pictures of the suspects on Facebook on Tuesday, June 18. They were accused of the theft on Yacht Avenue at around 4:50 a.m. on Monday, June 17. The three-minute video shows the two suspected thieves outside looking at several bicycles before walking away with two of them. Police didn't say what items were stolen in the theft. Jersey Shore Man Admits To Attacking 70-Year-Old Bicyclist Who Died, Prosecutors Say
A Seaside Heights man admitted to attacking a bicyclist who died from his injuries two weeks later, authorities said. Anthony Collins, 41, pleaded guilty on Monday, June 10 to manslaughter, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. He was charged in the death of 70-year-old Robert May of Seaside Heights. Prosecutors said they're seeking three years in state prison for Collins. SUV Driver Wanted After Bicyclist Killed In South Jersey Hit-And-Run Crash: Prosecutors
A bicycle rider was killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash in Ocean County, authorities said. Jackson Township police responded to the crash on Farmingdale Road at around noon on Sunday, June 9, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Investigators said a 2017 Audi A4 swerved left to avoid crashing head-on into a red SUV. The Audi struck a bicyclist in the left lane before hitting a tree on the side of the road.
