Maryland State Police Investigators Crack 2006 Cold Case After Woman Found Near I-70 Rest Stop
Sixteen years after a young woman was found killed on I-70 in Frederick County, a suspect has been apprehended for her murder, state police announced.
White Springs, Florida resident Garry Artman, 64, has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and second-degree assault for allegedly killing Dusty Myriah Shuck, 24, of Silver City, New Mexico in May 2006.
On May 4, 2006, Shuck’s body was discovered near a Frederick County rest stop by a passing motorist, according to police. She had last been seen at a New Mexico hotel on April 24, 2006.

A sheriff's deputy in Frederick County got an assist from a police K9 to make a massive drug and weapons bust of a convicted felon and Virginia teen during a speeding stop in Maryland, authorities said.
Michael White, 55, of Gerrardstown, West Virginia, and Rebecca Lorey, 19, of Stephens City, Virginia, are both facing multiple charges after being stopped at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31 for speeding near I-70 and Route 180.
