Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Online Tip Leads To Child Porn Arrest Of Suffolk County Man A Long Island man has been accused of possessing child porn. The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation began the probe based on a cyber tip generated by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program. On Thursday, Aug. 15,  a search warrant was executed, and Guenther Mayrhofer, age 71, of Mastic Beach, was apprehended and charged. Hours-Long Route 9W Closure Set For Orangetown: Here's When, Where A busy stretch of Route 9W will be closed for roadwork. The New York State Department of Transportation is advising  motorists in Rockland County to expect the roadway to close in both directions between County Route 28 (Old Mountain Road) and Shadyside Avenue in the Town of Orangetown on Saturday, Aug. 17, between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. The closure is "to facilitate maintenance activities, weather permitting," the DOT said. Motorists should anticipate delays and follow the posted detour.  Local residents will be able to access their properties.
