District Man Killed Careening Off-Road, Crashing Into Maryland Tree, Sheriff Says A District man died after his SUV veered off the roadway at a high rate of speed and crashed in Calvert County on Monday afternoon, according to the sheriff's office. Andrew Francis Evans II, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Dec. 9 crash after veering off the road on MD Rt. 4 near Cedarwood Lane in Dunkirk, officials said.
