A 9-year-old child and a woman were injured in a fire caused by an indoor ignitable liquid flame kit designed for making S'mores, Anne Arundel County officials said. Shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, firefighters from Anne Arundel County, Fort Meade, and Howard County responded to a townhouse in the 8500 block of Crooked Tree Lane in Laurel for reports of a fire in the living room. A driver suffered critical injuries after driving through a Prince George's County home late on Tuesday afternoon. First responders were called shortly before 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 6 to the 3100 block of Church Street in Glenarden, where there was a possible collapse reported when a minivan smashed into an area home. An ATV rider who crashed into a pick-up truck driver overnight was killed in Prince George's County, police say.
