Teen Girl Killed In Philadelphia A 13-year-old girl was shot and killed Wednesday, Sept. 18 in Philadelphia, authorities said. The black female was found on the 2800 block of N Bailey Street having suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of her chest just after 7:35 p.m., police said. She was taken by police to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead just after 8 p.m. The scene remains secured, and investigators are actively working on the case. NJ Transit Driver Assaulted By 7 Juveniles In Paterson A NJ Transit bus driver was hospitalized following an assault carried out by a group of juveniles in Paterson on Wednesday, Sept. 18, authorities said. An NJ Transit spokesperson said the attack happened just after 4:30 p.m. on the 171 line at the Broadway Bus Terminal. The operator was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation by NJT police.

Murder Suspect Arrested Days After Orange Park Killing, Prosecutor Says Police have arrested a 24-year-old man in the killing of a 28-year-old man in an Essex County park earlier this month. Brandon Beasley is accused of shooting and killing DeAndre Smith in Metcalf Park on Valley Street in Orange on Thursday, Sept. 12, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. 10-Year-Old Charged With Making Threats Against Franklin Township District A 10-year-old child is facing charges after posting a social media video that authorities said posed a threat to a school in Gloucester County. Police were made aware of the video on Wednesday, Sept. 18, that they said threatened a school in Franklin Township. Derick Gordon was reported missing after leaving his job in Maywood feeling ill that day, police said in a missing person's announcement. As of Tuesday, Sept. 17, he has not been located. Oakland Man Punches Mom With Dementia, 94 In Head, Kicks Officer: Police A 61-year-old Bergen County man is in custody for assaulting two women, including his 94-year-old mother, police said.
