The winner of the largest lottery jackpot in the Garden State's history has finally claimed their prize nearly nine months later, officials said.
A New Jersey resident has officially submitted their winning ticket in the $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot, the New Jersey Lottery said in a news release on Monday, Dec. 23. The winner was purchased at ShopRite Wine & Spirits on Route 66 in Neptune Township in the drawing on Tuesday, Mar. 26.

Nearly 6,000 customers were without power in Ocean County, prompting local authorities to urge residents to report issues to JCP&L as crews work to restore service.
The power outage affected 5,867 customers as of 9:16 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, according to Jersey Central Power & Light's website. The cause of the outage wasn't immediately known.
The outage has impacted 5,213 customers in Manchester Township, representing 19.2 percent of local households, according to JCP&L. Additionally, 473 customers in Toms River and 173 in Lacey Township were also without power.

Willingboro Man Caught With 1,000+ Child Porn Files, Prosecutors Say
A Willingboro man was accused of having more than 1,000 pictures and videos of child pornography, authorities said.
Marcus Lee, 33, was charged with second-degree possession of child sexual abuse material, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said in a news release on Friday, Dec. 20.
The investigation began after a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about Lee's online activity. Investigators found that he maintained online accounts containing more than 1,000 illicit files.

Collingswood Musician 'Adored By All' Seriously Injured By Car, Fundraiser Says
A beloved musician throughout South Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area was badly injured when he was struck by a car, according to a fundraising campaign.
A GoFundMe page said Mark Yurkanin was rushed to Cooper University Hospital with serious injuries when he was hit on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Yurkanian lives in Collingswood, according to his Facebook profile.
The GoFundMe had raised more than $26,000 from at least 398 donations as of Friday, Dec. 20.
