Authorities say that a small dog may have been the culprit that led to a partial evacuation of an apartment complex in Montgomery County. First responders from the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services were called to the scene of a fire at the Waterford Towers apartment complex in the 14000 block of Castle Boulevard in Burtonsville on Monday, Dec. 19, according to a department spokesperson. Residents of a DC residence received an alarming wake up call after their home was struck by a vehicle, authorities say. A silver sedan crashed into the home in the unit block of Florida Avenue NE around 9 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 18, according to DC Fire and EMS officials. MD Crews Help DC Firefighters Battle Apartment Blaze
Fire departments from several counties pitched in to help the DC Fire Department battle a blaze that sent smoke throughout a large portion of the building. DC Fire and EMS first reported the fire in the 4100 block of Cathedral Avenue NW just after 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 10.
