A man suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted to an area hospital by US Park Police when a fire broke out at a kiosk near the Lincoln Memorial. Woman With Jacket Zipped Over Face Rescued From Potomac River
A woman struggling in the Potomac River Friday night, March 3 was rescued by a good Samaritan who happened to be in the right place at the right time, responders said. DC Fire and EMS sent a boat about half-a-mile below the Lincoln Memorial along Ohio Drive SW around 7 p.m., but the woman had already been rescued by a civilian by the time firefighters arrived, the department said.
