A man released from police custody on accusations he raped, assaulted, and handcuffed a house cleaner in August was shot and killed by officers in Charles County, authorities said.
Officers responding to reports of an assault on the 7300 block of Tottenham Drive found Jordan Proctor, 30, inside and wearing a mask around 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, the Maryland Attorney General said. It was in fact the same block where the rape and assault of a house cleaner was reported in August, as reported by Daily Voice.

A 64-year-old man was pronounced dead at his home in St. Mary’s County after a crash that went unreported, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The series of events began on Saturday evening, Dec. 21, when Trueman Cross Montfort was driving a tan Chevrolet Suburban on Whites Neck Road toward Bushwood Wharf Road in Bushwood, the agency said. A violent domestic assault in Waldorf turned bizarre and brutal when a Clinton man allegedly bit a woman in the face, only to have his own dog turn on him, leaving both with serious injuries, according to the Charles County Sheriff's Office.
Officers responded to a home on Sherman Road shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, for a domestic assault in progress involving a man, woman, and a dog.

A Waldorf man who allegedly put a gun to his ex-girlfriend’s chin and threatened her during a violent confrontation didn’t stay on the run for long, police said.
The chaos unfolded around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, in the 100 block of Smallwood Village Center in Waldorf when Clarence Antonio Bennett, 41, reportedly approached his ex as she was walking on the sidewalk.
