Police have recovered the handgun used in the shooting inside Thomas S. Wootton High School on Monday and charged a Rockville teenager as an adult, officials announced.
Kahlil White-Villatoro, 16, is facing serious charges following the shooting, which rocked the Montgomery County community on Feb. 9.
According to the Rockville Police Department, late on Monday night, detectives recovered a Polymer80 9mm handgun as investigators continue to probe the shooting that left a student injured.

A 55-year-old Millville man and his 17-year-old son were charged on Monday, April 21, after killing a father and assaulting his teen daughter over the weekend, authorities said.
On Saturday, April 19, Gus Serbeck's daughter was assaulted by the 17-year-old, referred to as J.H. at the teen's Leamings Mill residence in Millville, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
