Man Dies After Being Shot In Broad Daylight At Park In Yonkers Two men were shot during an incident at a public park in Westchester, including one man who later died of his injuries, police said. The shooting happened just after 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26 at Doyle Park on Ashburton Avenue in Yonkers, when two men were found with gunshot wounds, according to Yonkers Police Detective Sergeant Frank DiDomizio. Driver Hospitalized After Crashing Into Building At Marina In Croton-On-Hudson A building at a Northern Westchester marina had to be stabilized after a vehicle crashed into it.  The crash happened on Sunday, Aug. 25 around 10:30 a.m., when a vehicle struck the Hudson House building at the Half Moon Bay Marina in the village of Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department.  The driver had experienced a medical emergency just before the crash and was able to get out of his vehicle on his own, firefighters said.  Soon after the collision, fire crews rushed to the marina and stabilized the car while also shutting down the building's electri…

Drain Work To Cause Closure On Busy Road In Cold Spring, Block Library Access A busy Hudson Valley road will be closed to traffic for two days as a result of construction work, officials announced.  Beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 27, Fishkill Avenue in the Putnam County village of Cold Spring will close between Main Street and the entrance to the Julia L. Butterfield Memorial Library as crews work to replace 170 feet of drain pipe and a catch basin, village officials said. The stretch of road will also close on Wednesday, Aug. 28, officials added.  Library visitors can still access the building through the driveway on Mountain Avenue.
