A Lancaster County mother is accused of giving her teenage sons access to guns used in a September shootout, police announced on Friday, Nov. 15. One of those sons has also been charged in his cousin's murder.
Brandi Whisman, 42, of New Providence, was arraigned Tuesday, Nov. 14, on charges of endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors. Investigators said she gave her sons permission to take the guns whenever they wanted, providing a key and telling them where the firearms were located.

12-Year-Old Girl's Accused Killer Captured, Baltimore Police Say
Police in Baltimore announced the arrest of Omar Passmore, who had been wanted in the murder of 12-year-old Breaunna Cormley.
The girl was shot around 8 p.m. on Friday, July 19 in the 500 block of North Kenwood Avenue, police said. First responders performed CPR and attempted to save her life, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Passmore, 28, was identified as a suspect on Saturday, July 20, and captured in Baltimore County Sunday, July 21. Police did not say where.
