Fatal Crash: Police ID Fitchburg Man, 76, Killed While Crossing Street Authorities have released the name of the 76-year-old man killed on Friday night, May 19, who was killed after a car crashed into him as he crossed a Fitchburg street.  Mario Bratkon, of Fitchburg, was struck in the crosswalk of Water Street around 8:45 p.m., the Worcester County District Attorney's Office said. Davaughn Coppedge, 23, of Springfield, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 25, around 6 p.m., and charged with drug possession, leaving the scene of property damage, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of personal injury, and operating with a suspended license, police said.
