'Huffing' Woman Caused Car Explosion In Sturbridge: Police
Fire investigators in Worcester County believe a car explosion over the weekend was caused by a woman huffing cans of compressed air inside the vehicle to get high. The explosion happened on Saturday, July 22, near Walmart in Sturbridge at 110 Charlton Road. Fire crews were called when an explosion blew the windows out of a Toyota Corolla and dislodged the doors. Cars parked nearby were also damaged. Fatal Crash: Police ID Fitchburg Man, 76, Killed While Crossing Street
Authorities have released the name of the 76-year-old man killed on Friday night, May 19, who was killed after a car crashed into him as he crossed a Fitchburg street. Mario Bratkon, of Fitchburg, was struck in the crosswalk of Water Street around 8:45 p.m., the Worcester County District Attorney's Office said. Paramedics airlifted him to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where doctors pronounced him dead. Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash In Tyngsborough Claims One Life: Police
One person is dead following a multi-car crash in Tyngsborough, authorities said. Police responded to the crash at 147 Frost Road around 3:47 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, Tyngsborough Police Chief Richard Howe said in a release.
