Man Killed In Western Mass Convenience Store Armed Robbery ID'd: Police A man who attempted to rob a Hampden County convenience store and later died of his wounds has been identified as a 53-year-old South Hadley man, authorities said.  Robert Papalardo died Thursday night, April 18, after paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center following the shooting in Chicopee just before 6:30 p.m., the Hampden County District Attorney's Office said.  An initial investigation found that Papalardo tried to rob the Zain’s Smoke Shop & Convenience on Montgomery Street when shots were fired, police said. Police Searching For Hit-Run Driver In Western Mass Chicopee police are asking for the public's help identifying the driver of a vehicle they say was involved in a hit-and-run last week.  Authorities say a grey Infiniti crashed into a car near Montgomery and Grattan streets on Thursday, June 15, before speeding away. Luckily, no one was injured.  Investigators say the Infiniti has damage to the driver-side rear fender from the crash.  Officers released multiple photos of the car taken by surveillance video near the crash site.  Chicopee police ask anyone who recognizes the car or knows the driver to contact Officer…

Fiery, Fatal Crash: Teen Charged With Brother's Death In Western Mass Wreck A 19-year-old man who is charged with killing his 13-year-old brother when he crashed his car into a Chicopee house last month was intoxicated and speeding at the time of the wreck, the prosecutor said.  Stefen Baulkman, of Holyoke, is charged with OUI, manslaughter, OUI causing serious bodily injury, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office said.
