Wrong-Way Driver Kills Devens Engineer In Littleton Head-On Crash: Police A driver going the wrong way on a Middlesex County highway led to a head-on collision earlier this week that claimed the life of a 25-year-old Somerville woman will face charges in the fatal crash, police said.  The head-on crash happened just before 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, on Route 2 in Littleton. A 22-year-old Leominster woman drove her Dodge SUV west in the eastbound lane, Massachusetts State Police said.  She collided with a Mazda CX-5 near mile marker 114.  Geetika Guruprasad, who was driving the Mazda, was rushed to Emerson Hospital in Concord, where doctors…

Barre Man Drove Into State Police Trooper During Early-Morning Chase: Police A 34-year-old man ran over a state trooper and crashed into multiple cruisers during an early morning chase that started in Methuen and ended with a wreck in Lowell, authorities said.  Eric Duffy of Barre faces nearly ten charges after Massachusetts State Police said he attempted to escape handcuffs just before 1 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1.  The chase started when a trooper stopped Duffy's Honda Accord after someone reported him for driving erratically on 495 in Metheun, authorities said.
