30-Year-Old From Region Remembered As Dedicated Coach, Husband A late former Connecticut resident is being remembered as a dedicated basketball coach and a loving husband. Michael Freilich died in his sleep from natural causes on Friday, Dec. 17, according to his obituary. He was 30 years old. Born in Kentucky in 1991, Freilich was raised in West Hartford and was well-known on the basketball courts around town. His passion for the sport was obvious, and he was a force to be reckoned with at Morley and the JCC, those who knew him said.
