First Snowfall Projections Released For New Storm Taking Aim On Region Precipitation from a massive winter storm that extended over much of the nation has changed over to rain for most of the region, while areas farthest north and inland are still seeing freezing rain on Tuesday morning, Feb. 16. After a one-day reprieve from the barrage of wintry weather on Wednesday, Feb. 17, a new storm taking aim on the region has the potential to dump a significant amount of snowfall.
