Fallen Somerville Police Officer Remembered As 'True American Hero' The Somerville Police Department is mourning the loss of Officer Randy Isaacs, who died unexpectedly this week. Officer Isaacs was a 15-year veteran with the department and a 24-year veteran of the Army National Guard, Somerville Police said. He served as a Master Sergeant on the 26th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade in addition to multiple tours in Kosovo and Afghanistan.  "Officer Isaacs is a true American Hero, who dedicated his life to service," Somerville Police said.
